The Canadian Functional Fitness Federation (CFFF) invites you to our 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 12th at 1:00 PM PST (Virtual via Google Meet). This is your chance to take part in driving the growth and development of functional fitness in Canada while staying informed about our key milestones and exciting plans for the year ahead.

We’ll discuss important updates, including:

  • The successful launch of www.cfff.fit, our custom-built platform to streamline operations and support athletes, coaches, and Technical Officials.

  • Results from our Nationals Qualifiers and Super Worlds, showcasing Canada’s top-performing athletes.

  • Plans to bring back in-person national qualifiers for the first time since 2019, providing an accessible and exciting competition experience for all.

3. Sport Recognition and Growth
Learn about our progress toward achieving recognized sport status in Canada via our Sport Recognition Framework, including:

  • Strengthening our governance framework to align with the Canadian Sport Governance Code.

  • Expanding athlete pathways and Technical Official certification to build a stronger community.

Join a Committee

One of our 2025 goals is ensuring athlete involvement every step of the way so you always feel heard. Each committee is in charge of developing a different aspect of the sport and will be headed by at least one board member. If you’re interested in joining a committee you let us know at the AGM or apply online here.

  1. Technical Officials committee 

    This committee oversees the review, editing, interpretation, and compliance with iF3 Movement Standards. It develops and maintains the pathway for becoming an iF3 Technical Official, ensuring education and training are provided for all officials

  2. Coaching curriculum 

    This committee is tasked with developing coaching pathways to establish CFFF-accredited coaches. It oversees the creation of a structured coaching curriculum built on the resources and courses provided through Coach.ca.

  3. Athlete safety 

    This committee represents the collective interests of competitive functional fitness athletes, ensuring their voices are heard and that their safety and well-being are prioritized in all aspects of the sport.

  4. National Championships 

    This committee is responsible for the planning and execution of the Canadian National Championships, as well as managing events and qualifications leading up to the competition.

  5. Adaptive Para athlete committee 

    This committee develops rules and standards for fair and inclusive competition for adaptive athletes. It also represents the interests of adaptive athletes and works towards achieving compliance with Paralympic standards.

  6. Domestic development

    This committee drives the growth of the sport across Canada by fostering communication and alignment with clubs, athletes, and the broader community to promote the goals and vision of the CFFF.

  7. Technical Officials

    This committee oversees the review, editing, interpretation, and compliance with iF3 Movement Standards. It develops and maintains the pathway for becoming an iF3 Technical Official, ensuring education and training are provided for all officials. 

  8. Medical / antidoping

    This committee manages all anti-doping policies and activities within the CFFF. It ensures compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code, as well as any IOC or CFFF-specific anti-doping rules.
